In observation of Mental Health Awareness Month, Meridian has set dates to offer four Mental Health First Aid (MFHA) courses, free of charge, to the community. Course sessions will last from 8:30 am- 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch. All attendees must attend the entire course in order to obtain Mental Health First Aider Certification. In addition to the courses offered during Mental Health Awareness Month, Meridian has set an overall goal of offer 20 free MHFA courses, available to all community members. Meridian began seeking partnerships as well as individual donors within the community through their MHFA Drive in March to obtain the $10,000 needed to fund these courses. The drive is currently underway and will continue through May. Meridian will facilitate the first four courses on the following dates:

Severe Weather Alert: Temporary disruption of normal operations at Meridian locations due to severe weather. Outpatient and administrative operations at all North Central Florida locations will be closed on Thursday, September 29th. Telehealth, Inpatient, Residential, Crisis and Emergency Services, and Access Center will remain open in Gainesville and Lake City.
