Be one of a small group of participants in an online community, specifically for moms and female caregivers. We aim to host an experience that fits your life and provides a supportive environment full of valuable tools for these unprecedented times.

This virtual chat group does not cost anything to join.

You have been thrust into a whole new world that you didn’t plan for and didn’t anticipate. Women hold a unique position in the family – join us to discuss survival skills in COVID-19 .

These virtual chats will be held on Thursday’s at 8 am for 6 weeks, facilitated by Laura Holley, MA – wife, mother, and Director of Prevention at Meridian. Topics will include self-care, stress/anxiety management, emotional management, health & wellness, distance learning supports, parenting, co-parenting, and a myriad of other topics.

August 19th – 20th – The Amazing Give

Meridian is proud to once again be one of the participating non-profits in the 24-hour online fundraising effort hosted by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida – The Amazing Give! This Day of Giving is all about giving back to your community.

The Amazing Give is on August 19th from 6pm to August 20th at 6pm. Follow this event page to read stories on how your give will make a difference in your community and other Meridian activities around the Amazing Give!

Supporting Our children During a Global Pandemic: Webinar Collection

Be a part of this, no cost, engaging four episode collection focusing on supporting the mental health needs of our children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learn how children respond differently than adults to uncertainty and stress, how to talk to your child about the virus, strategies to address emotions and challenging behaviors, all while navigating our new normal.

Saturday, October 10th – Kindness Matters

Gainesville’s 2nd annual Kindness Matters event to support World Mental Health Day!

Take a moment on October 10th and do something kind for another person. One act of kindness not only can transform the life of the recipient, but help the person performing the act too!

Share your kindness plan in advance on our Facebook event page and enjoy seeing what others plan to do! Help spread the word – share your plan with others, share the event and use the #KindnessMatters2020 with your social media posts!


Saturday, February 6th – Miles for Meridian

Cross the finish line with us again for our 3rd annual Miles for Meridian event!

We hope everyone has stayed safe and healthy. We will be opening registration for this event starting August 1st and provide all event details on this page. It should be the sweetest year yet! We will be continuing our chocolate themed 5k starting at the Tioga Town Center and following the course through the Town of Tioga.

Your health is our top priority and we will follow state and county mandates. Should there be a resurgence of COVID-19, we will make a decision on January 1st on if this will become a virtual only-event.


Thursday, May 13th – Steps to Wellness

Meridian is honored to host its 5th Annual Steps To Wellness! This event is a catered luncheon with a guest speaker and silent auction to enjoy. Check-in and silent auction opens at 11:00 am and the program begins at 11:30 am.

With your support, proceeds from this event will further Meridian’s mission to promote the health, recovery, and well-being of those affected by mental illnesses and substance use disorders through prevention, coordinated treatment, and supportive services.

Tickets to go on sale March 1, 2021!

Thank you for considering Meridian for your philanthropic efforts! Event partnerships are independently planned activities organized by a group outside of Meridian Behavioral Healthcare. Inc. An event partnership can be anything from hosting a bowling tournament, a fundraiser at your place of employment (like a dress down day at work), or everything in between and investing the money raised into Meridian. Meridian is proud to be the beneficiary of these event partnerships.
