We know entering treatment can be stressful, and we want you to feel prepared when you arrive.

What to Bring

Outpatient:

  • Identification
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Proof of income (for assessing fees based on a sliding scale)
  • List of current medications

Residential:

  • Personal hygiene items (e.g. tooth brush, bath soap, comb, etc.)
  • Casual clothing (appropriate to the season; enough for 5-7 days)
  • Athletic shoes and slippers
  • Jacket and /or sweater (rooms can be very cold)
  • Rolls of quarters (for snack/drink vending machines)
  • Writing pads and notebooks
  • Pens / pencils
  • Reading material
  • Personal cell phones may be permitted in some programs
  • Phone card (if calling long-distance)
  • Umbrella
  • Flashlight (for walking on campus at night)

We Provide:

  • Bed Linens (please do not bring any bedding from home)
  • Pillow and pillow case
  • Bath towels and washcloths
Linens (sheets, towels, washcloths, and blankets) are provided at admission. Each resident is responsible for washing their own linens at least once a week.

What Not to Bring

  • Computers / laptops / tablets
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Items containing alcohol (cologne / perfume / body spray / mouthwash, etc.)
  • Excessive or “flashy” jewelry
  • Lighter fluid, butane, flammable liquids.

Inappropriate Clothing:

All Meridian clients and their guests are expected to dress modestly and respectfully. Do not wear/bring:
  • Overly tight clothes
  • Revealing clothing
  • Sagging pants
  • Exposed undergarments
  • Tank tops
  • Spaghetti strap shirts
  • Hats / caps
  • Apparel advertising the use of alcohol or drugs
