The Lodge at Meridian - Development update!

In September 2016, Meridian hosted the inaugural Steps to Wellness Luncheon at the Sweetwater Branch Inn. At this event we introduced Amber’s story and the importance’s of The Lodge in providing Meridian clients a safe place to stay during recovery, kicking off our campaign to complete the renovations of the remaining 13 unfinished rooms at The Lodge. This event alone raised over $28,000 towards completing a room at the Lodge. The goal of the event was to raise $17,000 the cost of renovating one room at The Lodge. Due to the outpouring of community support, we can report that we have successfully raised enough money to renovate TWO of the 13 unfinished rooms! To date, we have secured just over $41,000 of the $221,000 needed to complete the project because of contributions from over 100 individuals and businesses within the community! A huge thank you to our corporate sponsors Florida Food Service, Dex Imaging, Willis Towers Watson, BBVA Compass, West Designs, and Well Florida Council! The Lodge provides temporary housing and a place to rest safely at night, making it possible to pursue recovery. Last year, The Lodge provided over 2,733 bed nights for people in need but… We need your help to double that this year! The cost of the renovation for one double occupancy room is roughly $17,000. With your help and the amazing support of our community, we can raise the final $180,000 needed to complete this project.
