Meridian is proud to announce the promotion of Morelle Sinclair to the position of Vice President of Finance and Accounting / Comptroller. Morelle joined our team in February as a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) accountant. Prior to her employment at Meridian, Sinclair worked as an accounting clerk at Blocker’s Furniture and Carpet in Ocala.
In her new role at Meridian, Morelle will work with Meridian CFO John Corneilson to set financial goals. She will also work with other managers to understand and execute these goals in accordance with accounting standards.
Morelle received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Hofstra University, New York. She was conferred a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the same institution. Over the past seventeen years, Morelle’s career has taken her from Nassau, Bahamas, to New York City. She has served as an accounting assistant at the Bronx Museum of Art and a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. In her spare time, Morelle enjoys reading, writing, painting, playing racquetball and gardening.
