Meridian is pleased to share we have completed all renovations to The Lodge and will be holding a Ribbon Cutting on Friday, January 12th, 2018. In September 2016, Meridian kicked off a $221,000 campaign to complete the renovation of 13 rooms at The Lodge. The Lodge provides temporary housing and a place to rest safely at night, at little or no cost to the client, making it possible to pursue recovery. Last year, it provided over 2,733 bed nights for people in need. In addition to safety and stability, The Lodge is a place for clients to find positive support for their recovery. Some clients even consider The Lodge a resource to make “real connections” and build family-like relationships. With the outpouring support of our community and donors, we are pleased to announce we have raised the $221,000 needed; completed the necessary renovations and would like to invite the community to join us in celebrating the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the renovated rooms at The Lodge. The event will begin at 11:30 AM and the Ribbon Cutting will take place at noon at 4170 SW 13th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608; with remarks from Meridian CEO Maggie Labarta, Ph.D and tours to follow.
