Meridian is eager to share that in collaboration with the Baker County Chamber of Commerce, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday, September 29th as the doors of the brand-new facility in Macclenny, FL were opened. The ceremony included a few remarks from CEO, Dr. Maggie Labarta and Program Manager, Tracie Sides; cutting of the ribbon with the Baker County Chamber of Commerce; and closed with tours of the facility. Meridian was awarded funding in June through Lutheran Services Florida, allowing them to become Baker County’s primary mental healthcare provider. Meridian has provided Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) services to Baker County for many years and consider the expansion of services and opening of the new facility an opportunity to more effectively serve clients and meet the needs of the community. “We are extremely grateful for the warm welcome and support we have received from the Baker County Chamber of Commerce, Judge Williams and community members,” said CEO, Dr. Maggie Labarta. The ribbon cutting allowed for fellowship among Meridian staff, stakeholders, Baker County residents and officials; allowing the organization to become more acquainted with the community.
