We are excited to announce that Meridian will be partaking in The Amazing Give for a 2nd year in a row. The Amazing Give is a 24 hour day of giving here in our community where non-profits from around the area come together and raise as much money as they can. The event runs from 6PM on March 29th to 6PM on March 30th and is hosted by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida. Last year, over $4,000 was raised to support Meridian’s efforts in the communities we serve and we are seeking to double that this year. With a goal of $10,000, Meridian is raising funds to benefit the wellness of our community that provides comprehensive mental health and addiction services to those in need. Our programs and services, such as the Mother’s Intensive Supportive Treatment (MIST) program, The Lodge at Meridian, The Center for Building Healthy Families, etc…,  all rely on donations and support from the community. The Amazing Give affords Meridian the opportunity to introduce and re-introduce ourselves to the community we serve. “The greatest part of the Amazing Give is the way the community comes together as a whole. It would be impossible to achieve our mission without the support of our community,” said David Rountree Meridian’s Director of Development and Communications. “Here at Meridian, we strive to be a pillar of safety for those who are often underserved within our community. That dedication requires tremendous resources, events like the Amazing Give allow us to showcase what we do to an audience that may not know we are the area’s safety net for mental illnesses and substance use disorders. We rely on the community’s generosity to help us, help those who need assistance.” If you would like to raise funds on behalf of Meridian, you can set up your fundraising page on Meridian’s Amazing Give webpage. We encourage you to share it with your friends & family and on your social media accounts.
