Who: Meridian Behavioral Healthcare
What: Launch of Primary Care Clinic, Capital Campaign.
Meridian has received funding to cover staffing and operations for a proposed Primary Care Clinic in Gainesville, Fla. In order to complete the construction and equip the clinic, Meridian must raise $90,000.
The Primary Care Clinic will be one of the first of its kind in the state and will provide primary care to eligible Meridian clients. This new clinic will provide those with severe mental illness and addiction disorders the ability to receive integrated mental health and primary health care in a setting that understands their unique needs and ensures coordination of all health requirements. Not only will this result in the patient’s individual health improving it will improve the overall health of our community.
The remaining cost of the new clinic is estimated at $90,000 and Meridian is seeking funding to help make this clinic a reality. When completed, the new clinic will make primary health care available to more than 8,300 local patients including 300 who are indigent and in greatest need. The clinic will be located in Meridian’s main building at 4300 SW. 13th St.
Meridian stakeholders and members of the community are invited to attend a community briefing and tour the future home of the Primary Care Clinic.
When: Thursday, September 10, at 3:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The press conference will begin at 3:00pm promptly
