Substance Abuse / Addiction Services
Intensive Adult Outpatient & Intervention Program
Outpatient services provide both intervention and traditional outpatient services to adults. The outpatient clinic provides assessment, forensic services, intervention and family, group and individual therapy for substance users and their families. Treatment goals, objectives and services are aimed at eliminating alcohol or other drug use and improving functioning areas.
Intervention services include group and individual educational counseling for persons who are unaware of their need for drug treatment or who voice no concern regarding their drug use. Traditional outpatient counseling is reserved for individuals who have begun to question their drug use or who have an awareness of a drug problem. Intervention individuals are strongly urged to attend 12-Step meetings. Outpatient individuals may be required to attend 12 Step meetings as a therapy adjunct. Abstinence is monitored via breathalyzers and urine drug screening.
