Healthy Kids – Behavioral Specialty Care Network
Behavioral Health Specialty Care Network - The Behavioral Health Specialty Care Network (BHSCN) is designed to provide intensive psychotherapeutic services to high-risk children who do not qualify for Medicaid due to family income level. Many of these families have parents that work, but are uninsured. These children have significant mental health or substance abuse problems.
The program is currently allotted seven slots for children in District III who meet very specific financial and clinical eligibility criteria.
The application is first screened for Medicaid. If the child qualifies for Medicaid, the family is notified and they can begin receiving services through their Medicaid provider. If they do not qualify for Medicaid but do qualify for Healthy Kids Insurance, the family is notified. The family can begin receiving services from the Healthy Kids provider.
