Laugh Extravaganza

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, Meridian proudly continued a tradition of fun and unique Extravaganza events. This time Meridian is focusing on the healing power of humor at the Laugh Extravaganza with Chonda Pierce. Hundreds poured into the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, filling it with laughter and helping celebrate Meridian’s work in the community.

Armed with an abundance of unpretentious Southern charm and laser sharp wit, Chonda Pierce has been entertaining audiences from coast to coast for more than a decade. An in-demand standup comic, television hostess and author, Pierce has parlayed her gift for storytelling into a multi-faceted career.

Illusion Extravaganza

Meridian Behavioral Healthcare hosted its fourth annual Extravaganza benefit event, Illusion Extravaganza. For the first time Meridian is bringing an illusionist Franz Harary to Gainesville. Franz Harary has designed some of the most ground breaking illusions in the world. Today Harary is largely credited for changing the look of magic as an art form. He has even been known to do, what the international press has dubbed “Mega Magic.”
